An introduction to Financial Advice Centre

Financial Advice Centre is a local business whose success is based on the ability to marry technical expertise with client needs to deliver great results. The business has built an exceptional record of success and long standing client base envied by the industry.

The business celebrated its 20th year in 2019 having grown steadily from two advisers to 10 in that time. In 2020, the business experienced further growth opening Bromsgrove and Wolverhampton branches and growing to 14 advisers and an 11 strong support team.

The business began in 1999 as independent financial advisers specialising in investment solutions and providing technical pension related advice. This foundation of deep technical expertise grew to offering advice on all areas of financial services including:

•Bespoke Investment Strategies

•Retirement Planning Solutions

•Pension Drawdown and Freedoms

•Wealth Management

•Inheritance Tax Planning

•Mortgages

•Life Assurance and Protection

At the heart of the business is an ethos of putting clients’ needs above all else. Unlike many businesses, advisers collaborate to share expertise and ensure clients get the best possible advice.

In the financial services industry, regulatory demands and requirements are changing rapidly and keeping abreast of these can be challenging. Through working with leading thinkers in investment  and by sharing and collaborating - our teams of advisers keep well ahead of the curve.

Most recently, the business has rolled out an approach to facilitate Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) investing. Clients can now select to have filters applied to their investments to combine investing for a financial return while making a positive contribution to the environment, society or both. It is now widely recognised that the ESG aspects of a company’s activities can have a material influence on its ability to deliver long-term returns to its investors.

ESG factors are useful indicators of a company’s overall strength, how it is likely to perform in the future, as well as risks that could impact its prospects.

Financial Advice Centre work with investment managers who are also signatories of the United Nations Principles of Responsible Investment. This ensures fund managers’ investments meet these criteria and they run their businesses in line with stringent ethical standards.

Financial Advice Centre is recognised as one of the region’s largest, most dynamic and innovative organisations of its kind – thriving, evolving and changing to meet the needs of clients.
